The unique physical arrangement of the teaching and practice areas, and the resulting interaction among students and faculty, creates a "percussion family" in which sharing and learning extends beyond the studio and classroom. In addition to the practice and faculty studio areas on the sixth floor of the music building, percussion is also stored in the ensemble rehearsal hall, and the University’s performance hall, Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium.
Applications, Scholarships and Graduate Assistantships
In addition to completing the standard application for admission to the university, music applicants must complete a successful audition on their major instrument. Upon successful audition, students are eligible for scholarships and assistantships in the School of Music. These awards are highly competitive and are dependent upon annual availability. Additional financial aid/scholarship information is online at www.finearts.ohio.edu/music.
